Sorry if this is a stupid question i couldn t find any answers in the guides i took a look at so i was hoping someone could help me out. The wrecked solar array is a discovery unique in that it is the only functional non craftable solar panel in astroneer. So one way to get connected to the solar panel would be to just place a platform next to it and connect the power. It requires sunlight to provide power.

This is the only solar unit that acts as a platform meaning that it must be placed on the ground. They can be crafted using 1 copper 1 glass 1 plastic and 1 graphene. The update also added a new item called extenders which can be used to connect power lines over long distances. See wrecked solar array for more information.

The solar array is a power module in astroneer. It only produces power when exposed to sunlight. The solar array is the largest craftable solar panel being made in the large printer. It can be moved by the player or a vehicle with a winch.

Just connect the extenders to the solar panel and connect them to a platform at your base. Unlike the medium solar panel the solar array isn t required to be placed on a platform.
